Teachers share and studies show that students often forget a lot of what’s been taught shortly after class is over.
Podsie (www.podsie.org) is a free web app that provides students cumulative review of what’s been taught throughout the school year.
Podsie is a product of Teaching Lab, a non-profit dedicated to optimizing learning opportunities for teachers that advance education for all.
What makes Podise unique?
🌱 Spacing and Interleaving
Podsie helps students automatically space out their review in order to promote effective long-term learning
🌱 Frequent Retrieval
Podsie provides your students with retrieval opportunities exactly when they need to review a concept, right at the moment when they might forget it.
Our next study will run for 6 weeks from January to March 2025. In this study, we aim to study how Podsie might help students remember any of the material covered in class before students went on winter break.
We are funded by the National Science Foundation to parter with Carnegie Mellon University and The University of Memphis to conduct a series of research studies on the learning impact of our tools.
